For anyone wondering, the "Arts and Crafts" movement is an actual, genuine architectural term for a movement that happened around the end of the 19th century and beginning of the 20th century. As the name implies it was an artsy rebellion against mass-manufacturing in construction and aesthetic that was predominant at the time (esp. for poorer people), and also a free-spirited rebellion against the classy but formalist beaux-arts style popular for civic buildings at the time. Arts and Crafts was more of a thing in Britain, where notable architects and interior stylists included Charles Rennie Mackintosh and William Morris. "Craftsman style" was a slightly later architectural style from the early 20th century that partly harkened back to the Arts and Crafts style, and Craftsman style was more widespread in the US than Arts and Crafts was. Many "bungalow" type houses in the US, if built in the early 1900s, are Craftsman in style.

I like to imagine that Sona and Matt are continually reborn and find one another... while in the service of a cruel tyrant. Like... it's 13th century China and Sona and Matt's village is raided by Conan Khan and they are pressed into his service. Or 1000s of years ago, Sona and Matt are forced to raise heavy stones to create a likeness of Pharoah Conan on the body of a sphinx. Then in the 21st century, they become beleaguered podcast co-hosts to a ginger maniac and have to put up with his constant bullying and bits. Just the idea of the three of them bound to one another across time in an endless cycle of bullying and muttered retorts makes me chuckle.
