58 years ago I purchased my first new Jeep, a 1966 V6 CJ5. Only options at the time which I ordered were the passenger seat, drawbar hitch, front locking hubs, and a canvas top! Out the door price was a few cents less than 1966 was the first year for Jeeps new V6 engine. That vehicle turned out to be the best all around Jeep I’ve ever owned. Second best was a 1973 CJ5 with a 304 AMC Over the years I have owned 12 new or used Jeeps, plus one Land Rover and several Land Cruisers. It mind boggling to me now the prices they’re asking for any new The old 66’ Jeep would run circles around ANY of the later model!!! Jeep really went in the toilet when AMC sold Jeep to Chrysler Corporation!!!!

Same in England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 🇬🇧 land rover deserted its core customer and went in for making fashion accessories. Over priced unreliable pieces of junk.

You would think that they would learn by now not to charge so much for a wrangler. And a Jeep should not try to be a luxury vehicle. If you want luxury, get a G wagon. If you want a dependable car with great capabilities, get a Jeep.

None of the car companies would be suffering if they dropped all the unneccesary expensive computerized crap and brought the prices down to what people can afford it wouldn't be an issue, but they refuse to. It's all about Convenience and safety. Here's a thought. Roll a god damn window down manually and learn how to freakin' drive. Problem solved.

Stellantis would never get rid of Jeep. Chrysler, yes. Jeep isn't going anywhere. Stellantis might send Jeep overseas, but Stellantis will never get rid of Jeep. I can see Stellantis shutting down Chrysler.

Really? JEEP originally was a ride-anywhere, cross-country, wartime truck! Jeep is NOT a luxury vehicle. 🤦‍♀ So they are going after high-dollar, luxury cars and cutting out the middle-class purchasers.

I haven't been able to find back up for this in CNN, Fox, or the BBC. They are going to drop a cash cow? No confirmation so far.

My immediate consumer comment to Jeep:
I like the Wrangler Rubicon, BUT, ... It's way to expensive 80K + for this car is not going to help your bottom line sales guys, the V8 version is way, way to much to spend on a Jeep!!
Reliability, .. all jeeps need a bigger engine power train, need to be manual no more auto trains this is a gear car DNA!
I can't see buyers queuing up for the V8 at the ridiculous price ok it's a V8 but 120000 US com on guys this is extortionate then resale prices dropping us 36000 in the first year is the kiss if death fir any prospective buyers hard earned money.
Something is very very wrong here, a Jeeps do not have a good reputation, reliability and value first, then price has to be affordable!!!
Currently everything is wrong Keep everything!!!
I hope you can reverse this terrible situation.. and keep Jeep alive and ☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧

Small market for a $100, 000 Jeep. The other big two better wake up as F150’s and GM trucks become overpriced.

American brands were strong until Carlos Tavares took over. Since then, he has done nothing but destroy Mopar.

All these corporate jerks decided to take Jeep to a luxury level. Jeep has always been a real offroad vehicle and the the prices were low!!! They listened to writers of news reports how people want a Jeep, but complained the ride needed improvement, more power and better looking interior. So now prices have gone much too high, too many electrical items, On top of this the Union leaders want more and more money. So now major layoffs and the vehicles just sit and rot!!!!

Well, having the experience of working at a local dealership Chrysler Dodge Plymouth at a time when this company made cars and trucks that at the time were affordable to the public.
But as the Union started to get " greedy "the prices went thru the roof and this is the result. DOWNFALL FOR ALL THREE 👎 No CEO captain can save these Titanic ships.🤔

Jeep a legend they are killing it, not a luxury auto, too dam expensive, catching what are they doing about, go back to the legend not the luxury, I’m retired 8 years from jeep, this is a disgrace to the workers, the legend, to everyone, they give themselves raises, we suffer and they will walk away

If this is true, I think it's a Good time for the TATA's to move in. I'm sure they will be able to turn this one around too, like they did for JLR ! I do hope they have their Ear to the ground, by now. I don't know much about the other brands, but something like the "Jeep " should never be allowed to die ! The JEEP is too much a part of the World's history itself !
