I love the look of these new kias but how long is a fairly large sedan with a 1.6l turbo possibly gonna last.

i have k5 gt line AWD (with premium package, pano sunroof), I love the car. For what it is and for the price, no one comes close. I wanted a AWD sedan that is comfy, nearly loaded, and under $34k.

Test drove Camry AWD, Subaru Legacy AWD, Malibu RS, Honda Accord (1.5turbo), and then the K5.
My own rankings:
1. K5
2. Camry, power train sucked, passing power was scary, and the interior is a bit dated.
3. Accord, good power train, interior was good, but overall the ride quality was a letdown
4. Subaru, I liked the V6 and AWD system, but the CVT sucks, interior is okay but hard to get comfy in it.
5. Malibu, I only like the infotainment for simplicity plus, dealerships on every corner, but other than that... really sucks. no surprise the big 3 is done for in sedans.

The power train on the K5 is great for what it is. They also have a sporty GT model if you want quick. My only complaint is I wish they gave the option of the digital gauge cluster like the Sonata has... other than that, it's such a great car. 14k miles in 15 months of ownership, 6 trips of over 1k miles round trip... I love it. It's truly a underrated sedan, and I encourage anyone who wants a great ride, good gas mileage, and has passing power on the freeway, test drive the K5. The standard tech you get is awesome. Especially their HDA (Highway drive assist).

The car wouldn’t last pass 100k; I used to have a 2006 KIA Rio and that garbage had constant issues well below 100k. It was always at the Dealership for warranty work.
