What's even funnier is that this show actually KEPT the Japanese text untranslated throughout it's entire run, so they bombard you with kanji at every chance they get and it's just kept to just show how proudly Japanese it is. If 4Kids dubbed it, the amount of paint edits would have been RIDICULOUS.

It took me a while to realize the fighting style in the show was to get deeper and deeper involved in gags until one side lost track of what was real. What a show.

To anyone who doesn't know: Things like this were done because the actual translations would not work in English. I think the manga and anime are half Shonen half gag manga, and so many of the jokes rely on double meanings is Japanese words or double ways to read words that it just can't translate without losing the context.

It's amazing they even got to dub it, and I'm happy that we got to experience it.

This is exactly the kind of humor the original would go for and this is just brilliant work from the localisation team to somehow cut content by replacing it with something that still fits.

My favorite fourth wall gag in this show, with a close runner up being a character saying "You said that before the commercial break!" When they had the character repeat themselves to keep the audience up to speed
