Nvidia RTX 4080 Super Performance in a Nutshell

Nvidia has just released the RTX 4080 Super, it's a nice addition to their line-up, replacing the original RTX 4080 which was released in 2022 at 1200$.

It's surprising that it took Nvidia almost 2 years to make an already expensive GPU 200$ cheaper and give it the same performance. Not really a huge uplift

every new GPU launch starting at the RTX 2000 series makes me happier with my choice to just play old games on laptop iGPUs, my old 1060 and my Steam Deck. I can wait another 5 generations to pick up a cheap used card and play all properly patched/fixed games I missed in those years.

I tuned out of the pc space about a year ago after fatigue from crazy pricing and horrible performance. Thank you for these quick funny videos that let me know I made the right choice to move on.

And I'm just over here with my 3070ti and the mod to enable frame generation rocking out.

For real tho, if you're using a 20 or 30 series card look up the frame generation mod. Literally downloaded extra performance. Allowed me to go from no RT to maxed RT in Cyberpunk and still have ~30% more frames than before. Shits crazy yo.

As someone who upgraded from 1070 to 4080 super, the price reduction did come in handy lol
