Was Bethesda's E3 Presentation BAD?

Bethesda recently presented at E3, and they've been receiving some hate! Here are my thoughts. Let me know yours! :D

For those of you new to my channel, my name is the Roshank Redemption, and on my channel, you can find a pretty wide variety of games.

For starters, I absolutely love the Elder Scrolls and will be doing tons more discussion videos like this in the future!

Secondly, I’m a pretty adamant Fallout fan, and will be uploading a lot of Fallout 4 content. I just finished covering Automatron and Wasteland workshop, and currently I am covering Far Harbor.

Also, I am a MASSIVE fan of Pokemon! I am currently doing coverage of Pokemon Sun and Moon and will be doing a walkthrough of the games when they come out.

Finally, I am a pretty huge anime/manga fan and do reviews of Tokyo Ghoul, as well as other series from time to time.

I don't understand why ANYONE would actually expect ES6 this soon. Fallout 4 hasn't even been out for a full year! I didn't think the conference was that bad though, much better than EA's but not amazing. I would say the thing I am most excited for that they showed was Prey. Prey 2 from E3 a couple of years ago would be the game I would prefer this be but never the less, it still looks cool. I would have said more Fallout 4 dlc but that I haven't played Far Harbor yet and my game crashes whenever I go to sanctuary or fast travel. Dishonored 2 looks cool I guess, didn't really get that much into 1 but I will admit, it does have me wanting to go back to it.

I know this isn't completely relevant to the video, but since Nuka world was confirmed, which was on that "leak" around a week ago does that also means that valenwood is near 100% confirmed for es6?

My reaction to all games from the showcase:
Quake: meh
DooM: game is awsome, but nothing interesting at the showcase
Fallout Shelter: was fun for a week, but now I don't give a fuck
Fallout 4: nothing new
Dishonored 2: fucking awesome
PREY: the cancelled Prey 2 looked WAY better
Elder Scrolls Online: the game is awesome, but they showed stuff that was already released
TES: Legends: looks very nice and fun
Skyrim Remaster: FUCK YOU BETHESDA, go to hell

I agree with you man, It was an overall average conference. Felt more like a DLC showcase than actual game showcase. I was expecting a big announcement but all we got was just meh DLC stuff and cinematic trailers of games coming later.

I didn't sit down and watch the presentation but there were only a few games that caught my eye in the articles I did see. Having beaten Dishonored, I'm excited to see more in that world but at the same time I'm more interested in the mechanic that allows you to combine powers and the voice cast for the game. I personally didn't feel like Dishonored needed a sequel it closed up pretty well in my opinion with its own story and the DLC about Daud.

Skyrim Remastered, I'm pretty excited about just because the trailer showed actual changes to the graphics which change the atmosphere in my opinion. The use of mods on console also catches my attention some but the graphic updates that are extremely visible in this version are what really caught my attention. If its coming with all the DLC as a remaster, that's just a bonus to me.

Fallout Shelter caught my attention to since its apparently coming to PC. I really just wanted to see how it played for myself and see if I liked it. But without owning a tablet or smartphone that's a little hard to do. So I look forward to at least testing it on the pc.

It seems like Bethesda is doing something...corny..with the TES: Legends. Maybe it's just me..but I'm honestly a bit tired of game companies putting out "digital card games". There enough out there and this really seems like a money grab to me. I have no interest in it.

The Bethesda's conference was still better than EA's but still a bit dissapointing, i had hoped for at least a mention of elder scrolls 6 info at least, two of the DLC (of the three) for fallout 4 are just MODS you can download from the NEXUS. ( but looking forward to Nuka World that is the only one that look promising), and the PREY trailer looked good ( So dose Dishonor 2 too xD). Kind of disappoint that they are making a remaster of Skyrim than no remaster for either Morrowind, Oblivion or any of the earlier Elder Scroll games

I agree. If it has been long enough that the last Elder Scrolls game "needs" to be remastered, then it has probably been long enough to at least announce the next one.

Fans wanted to see Elder Scrolls VI or at least a teaser because Fallout 4 was disappointing. Think about it, Fallout 4 has almost been out for a year now and the community has already chewed through most of it unlike Skyrim, Oblivion or Morrowind which are still being played TODAY. Fallout 4 (while admittedly damaged by the insane hype) was still a skeleton crew of a Bethesda game with little more to call it than Minecraft with 50s music and gunplay.

I liked the presentation. Even though Skyrim remastered looks nice, I feel that it's a waste of dev time, but that's just my opinion. I feel like they spent way too much time on Dishonored 2, despite it being the central game of the conference, it felt like it took up half of the show. The game does look nice, I'll have to admit, and that's coming from someone who's never played Dishonored. The show was good, but it won't compare to the hype of Fallout. Nonetheless, good show.

I do not know. for now I know that the next Elder scrolls 6 will be in Valenwood due to the leak document talking about Nuka World dlc (which came out) so I have high hopes about Valenwood being the chosen location. Anyways, good that people are talking about Skyrim, I thought i was the only one still interested lol.

When everyone started to hear the skyrim theme song, they were all cheering. but when it was the remaster version of the game everyone thought it was a waste of dev time. xD

The e3 presentation for bethesda this year is way way way better then many other e3 conferences. I dont think it was bad but the hosts were so annoying and the most stupid thing by them was the lady saying far harbor is bigger than Skyrim's shivering isles instead of Skyrim's Solstheim. ( I dont think i spelt Solstheim right)

I did want a Skyrim remaster, honestly. The mods make my PC version crash (I'm sick of trying to fix it) and my Xbox 360 is just too freaking loud for me to ignore after two years of having a Wii U and PS4. Having mods on my PS4 is a godsend. Although I'm kind of surprised we have to wait for October, you think they would have been working on it long enough for it to be ready by the end of the summer. Whatever. I'm just disappointed TES VI didn't even get a mention or a hint.
