Create a dope RGB Glitch Splitting Effect in After Effects for your video or motion graphics!

In After Effects, select all the content you want the RGB effect to be applied too and go to layer precompse. Called it RGB and click ok.
Then go to effect channel – shift channels.
Turn the Green and blue channels to Full Off
Duplicate the RGB Layer. Then turn red to full off and turn green back on to green.
Duplicate the layer one more time. Turn off Green and turn Blue back on to Blue.
Set the blend mode for the two top layers to screen.
Now hit “P” on your keyboard for position and offset the position values by a touch.
To animate the RGB split, alt-click the stopwatch and type in wiggle(5,10). Then paste this expression to the other layers.
Feel free to change these numbers to create a more intense RGB splitting effect.

(I usually never comment - and I've been following you guys since 2020) but SonduckFilm please do go over old effects/videos that you've covered already (like these) - maybe on how to do transitions/effects like we all see on viral videos on TT (tracking cars / people / split screens etc) <3
