this is not just an animation.. please make a research on simulation of crash test before making a comment. You are making fool of yourself.
if you say this isn't the way to do it, then VOLVO, BMW, Ferrari, and all the other car makers are doing it the wrong way too?? if you wish to do the actual test, it is not feasible. the cost will be very high like more than 10 times fold, and the development will take forever.

This crash look too fake. The simulation accuracy maybe 50% only.

Animation is the work of media folks with no engineering value. This is called a computer simulation...you can look up wikipedia for "crash simulation" to learn more. Do you remember dy/dt in maths? Imagine breaking up the car into tiny elements where its interaction with an adjacent element is governed by a certain differentiation formula. To calculate this interaction manually will take years. Put it into a supercomputer, will get 80% accurate result in hours. Computer is not just for games.
