✅ Uzbek Katlama With Onions In A Pan Recipe
● wheat flour - 550 g
● salt - 1 tsp.
● olive oil - 2 tbsp.
● water - 300 ml
● onion - 4 pcs.
● green onion - 10 branches
● salt - 1 tsp.
● ground black pepper - ⅓ tsp.
● smoked paprika - 1 tsp.
● butter (melted)
● olive oil

✅ Super-Cheesy Khachapuri Recipe
● wheat flour - 500 g
● dry yeast - 5 g
● sugar - 1 tbsp.
● salt - 1 tsp.
● milk (warm) - 280 ml
● egg - 1 pc.
● olive oil - 3 tbsp.
● cheddar cheese - 250 g
● mozzarella - 250 g
● egg yolk

Looks fairly easy so I'm going to give this a try, It reminds me vaguely of a Korean Shallot Pancake but more substantial & I can control the ingredients & choose the onions I prefer, Red with leeks sounds very good but I think I will try this with a Vidalia onion & leek & a small red onion. Thanks so much for this recipe. Here I put the recipe with instructions & conversion to standard measures for those who dont use metric like myself, but know my way around a kitchen.
Recipe
● wheat flour - 550 g - 4 3/8th cup
● salt - 1 tsp.
● olive oil - 2 tbsp.
● water - 300 ml - 1.2680 cups Approximate
● onion - 4 pcs.
● green onion - 10 branches
● salt - 1 tsp.
● ground black pepper - ⅓ tsp.
● smoked paprika - 1 tsp.
● butter (melted)
● olive oil


Place flour in a bowl & make a well.

Place Salt, oil, water in the center & fold toward center till combined.
Form into a ball & cover with plastic Wrap & let stand for 20 minutes.


In a separate Bowl, Combine halved & sliced Onions, Spring Onion, Smoked Paprika, salt & pepper, Garlic can be added if preferred, Fold in & rub gently to ensure coverage & set aside.

Divide Dough into 4 & roll into balls, separately roll out one at a time then brush on melted butter.
divide onion into 4 portions then spread one portion out thinly & evenly over dough, then roll not too loosely or tight until done, then roll to make a pin wheel & gently flatten but not flas like a pancake.


Place cooking oil in a non stick pan or cast iron which ever you prefer but non stick would make it easier.
Cook on medium heat until golden on each side, about 5 minutes.

When done, place on paper towel to absorb the oils & keep covered till serving.

This recipe is SO EASY & AFFORDABLE Anyone loving onions as I do will love this recipe.

! The idea behind Ukrainian dishes is to take a lot of simple ingredients and take full control over them. You just can't screw it up - the logic behind the recipe is soooo comforting. Pickled red onions🤤🤤🤤the cheesy buns is what my babusya makes for borshch. She also adds garlic butter on top!

the first is same techique used for how Chinese Scallion Pancakes are made. Only use scallions, sesame oil, salt.
