esta usando el diodo reseptor en serie al preset a modo de divisor resistivo por lo que termina ensendiendo el led en modo gradual, creo yo seria mas practico que trabaje en corte y saturacion de la tencion base emisor, solo tiene que poner el emisor directo a masa y el diodo mas una resistencia en la entrada colector del transistor, de esta forma superado los 0, 6v tendria en la bace se disparara la conduccion del transistor sin generar valores intermedios.
