BMW 1M, M1, M2, M3, M4, M5, M6, and M8. See what number is missing there?
BMW has made an M model for just about every Series except for one – the 7 Series. BMW said the ‘M’ adds a track element and there may not be a lot of demand for the 7 Series on the track.
But there was an M7 back in the 80s, kind of, in South Africa !!
Derived from the M88 that powered the M1, the first-ever M car introduced in 1978,

There was one issue however; because the turbocharger was located in the right side on the engine bay, there was no room to fit both the turbocharger and steering column for a right-hand drive 745i. Due to the lack of available space, it wasn’t possible to mirror the layout.

Here is where the ingenious solution from BMW engineers in Johannesburg came in. They decided to fit the M88/3 3.5-litre straight-six engine,
More commonly known as the 745i SA, the unofficial M7 arrived in South African showrooms in early 1984. But unlike the regular E23 7 Series, it wasn't put together in Germany. The sedans were assembled in South Africa from complete knock-down kits shipped from BMW's home country.
the race-spec 745i SA won the 1985 championship against race-spec versions of the Ford Sierra, Alfa Romeo GTV, and Mazda RX-7.

"Production" lasted until 1987, but only 209 cars were put together. All were sold on the domestic market, but the story goes that at least one 745i SA was exported to Europe, most likely to the U.K.
Some early cars came with "M" logos on the speedometer and rev counter, but these were quickly removed from production.
South Africa made the 333i and the 325iS

BMW, as mentioned in the video. Had built the greatest naturally aspirated engine in the world! To date!! WHAT IN THE WORD OF BABY JESUS IS HOLDING THEM BACK TO BRING THE M1 back!!???

BMW V10 isnt a V10 its more like a VR10 VW let them use for there BMW. get ya facts on the BMW brand my Guy.... Love the Video just get all ya facts first. and that BMW Badge is the Flag colors not a airplane prop....
