Hey just letting you know that the M550i and M5 are different powertrains. So you wouldn't call the M550i the M5.

BMW nomenclature is much easier and clean. This video along with Mercedes nomenclature are really helpful, I’m a car aficionado and I wanted to understand how Mercedes names the car, there was no video explaining that and voila! Please keep in mind that an M5 has nothing to do with an M550i. The M550i is an upgraded version of the 550i. The M5 is a from the ground up differently built car.
