Setting The Traps For American Signal Crayfish

I headed out with the traps and dog to catch a bounty of American signal crayfish, the traps soaked overnight and i gathered myself a summers delight.
permits/licenses are required to trap Crayfish

Hey up Lee, nice to see you harvesting these invasive creatures. They ruin riverbanks and destroy our native river life. I was raised in Sth Africa, and, as teenagers, we used to dive for crayfish, known locally as kreef and as big as a lobster, but without claws. To me, like all lobsters and crayfish, a mate of mine used to fetch me plenty of these American river crayfish, they only taste of what they're cooked in. My favourite, pirripirri with plenty garlic. Look forward to seeing your recipe.

Hi Lee, glad to see them removed, must munch through a lot of fish eggs amongst other things, love to eat all Decapods, never tried Crayfish ( I would try them with garlic butter).
Walked many a local river, don't recognize that stretch, if its local, can't wait to see the wild cook video, all the best mate.

A live a couple miles away from the north east cost and go for the odd lobster my son got a little dog water bowl what you just blow up by mouth off internet brilliant mind it will be better than having to carry a stainless one nice tip for you mate
