Whether to a concert, a ball game, or dinner out with friends, more and more Utahns are hailing an Uber or a Lyft to get where they’re going. However, users who rely on one app over the other may not be getting the best deal, or could be waiting too long for a ride. KSL Investigator Debbie Dujanovic recently saw just how much the difference can be: to travel exactly one mile, one company wanted to charge $15 more than the other for the trip. With that in mind, the KSL Investigators decided to put Uber and Lyft to the test, comparing 118 rides to see which rideshare company wins on price and convenience.

So many mire factors that they aren’t accounting for. Each app will be different everyday depending upon how many drivers are in the area for each company, how many riders have the app open looking for rides... so many factors. But in general, they’re both going to be roughly the same like they said.

This video is the shining example of why Uber and Lyft are such messed up companies. While everyone is worried about how cheap their rides, no one is asking how low the drivers are getting paid. You should be asking on that $10 ride how much is that driver getting paid. Oh, wait minute. No one really cares.
