Capable off the lot with technology, adequate ground clearance and even provides a slight lift! Auto or manual transmission is available. The cons would be kind of sluggish and you can see that trying to climb rocks or towing, easy fix though.

Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator! These trucks have multiple engine options along with the manual/auto! Ground clearance is 11'' and with the solid axle it's more durable than an independent suspension! Specifically designed for hitting the trails and has great approach/departure angles! The cons is reliability and the price, a rubicon will cost around $60K.

I prefer auto for off-roading. Starting on a steep incline with a manual sucks and putting the auto in “1, ” “2, ” etc....has been good enough for me when wheeling in multiple Land Cruisers, 4runner, H1, and most recently, an older G-wagon.

I agree choosing the gear on the manual is helpful, but I will take the auto over the manual. (After 1 close call on a steep incline, made me a believer).

Like your videos but the Tacoma and 4runner are not the same truck. Engines and transmission are completely different and also the frames. C channel taco vs fully boxed on the 4runner.

Great video guys. Mike looking good and happy about how great his Tacoma is. Definitely found its way to my shopping list. Reliability puts it above similarly priced vehicles. I wish nissan could build a solid capable frontier. A VQ engine would last forever. I've been a VQ 3.5 and 3.7 owner for 10 years finally switched to b58 power. You guys are awesome. Maybe you could get a comparison test, gladiator, Tacoma, Colorado, frontier. Yeah there's car and driver but there's something to say about a B4S review. They seem more real. I purposely left the ranger out ;)

The 4.0 is superior. That's why they kept it in the heavier of the 2..
