People back in the day really used to sail thru these unexpected storms on wooden boats

The 50’ waves were measured by GPS altitude tracking on the drone, and the camera perspective flattens the depth perception so you really can’t tell from the video how big the waves are here. The newscaster is just relaying the wave data captured earlier by the drone that NOAA highlighted with their press release regarding this project as the drone approached Hurricane Fiona.

Everyone here clueless saying those aren’t 50ft waves. The perspective is lost because there are no reference points like on land, just water. Those are 50ft waves though, those would be swaying cargo ships and other large ships. Take it from NOAA and sailors

I saw that footage way before Hurricane Fiona had developed. How strange!

The same drones used for weather warfare.

Since hurricanes usually lose strength when traveling over land, why not move the Great Pacific Garbage Patch (larger than the state of Texas) into their paths in the Atlantic? I realize it wouldn't be easy or cheap, but if it worked, it would save lives and probably pay for itself in a couple of seasons.

DeSantis put Texas Immigrants on that drone.

Must be a military drone. An otc drone could never fly in that.
