Demonstration of how to put blinders on pheasants. The best time to do this is between 5-8 weeks old. Putting blinders on pheasants helps prevent them from pecking one another and creates a healthier flock.

It looks horrible but i can understand why it nedds to be done, its better than birds with missing eyes or feathers being ripped out

Ok I don't know anything about birds. Do they have more peripheral vision that they can still move around and know where they're going?
I get that this is to protect all the birds, I'm just not wrapping my head around how they can still function like a normal bird when they can't see in front of them. Can someone explain this, please??

Birds will peck each other...to death. Even chickens will peck each other to death if its allowed to continue.

people are stupid, it’s a big uncomfy but it’s better than them losing their eyes, and birds have enough visual range to still move around without bumping things

I know they have to be protected. Interested to see what happens as they get bigger. Still feel sorry for the little guys though.

we used them on chickens but they were red tinted so the chickens didn't eat each other, when they saw red, because they saw it all the time.
