from 1 to 2 the magnitude should be equals to -1

The integral is the area of the product of x(t) times we are not computing the area of x(t) or the area of e^...., so we can't compute the product of the areas. For values of t where x(t) is 1, I replace it with 1 in the integral.

How can you just replace those x(t)s?? You can do that in integrals?

x(t) to 1. I understand if you are just doing that with the integral of x(t), because the area under the square wave from 0-1 is 1. But when your taking the integral of x(t) TIMES wont you need to have the area of x(t) AND and multiply them together? I cant believe how you just replaced x(t) with just 1.
