Late comment :) Love patches that have adhesive on them, but sometimes they do not have it, or you want to transfer an old patch to a new gi. Then using double sided tape for clothing is a pro tip. I usually apply them in a cross to prevent the patch for turning/twisting.
Good tip for BJJ patches is to sow over the edges as well, and fairly tight.

Oooh didn't think to mark it after holding it up in the mirror. Great idea! I am about to sew patches on my gi

I love watching the bunkai because it reminds me of how watered down our hapkido variations have become from Japanese water-down versions of the Okinawan forms.

For those interested in proper usage: dogi, keikogi or karategi; NEVER "ki" (it is a K sound when no word is attached before it as in KImono) in this case, means clothing and is not used alone.

Can I use fabric glue as an alternative???

Better if you sew it first so that it wont be that hard to push the needle through the patch :)

BJJ guys relate to threading the needle 😏

Thx for the tutorial man, My kid has a patch that needs to be stitched right above his elbow. I asked my wife and she said she didn't know how.. so I said fuck it I'll do it, can't be that hard right? Haha. Anyway, thx.

Dogi, keikogi, or {art name}gi, NEVER just, "gi The proper form if there is no prefix is "ki" as i KImono.
