Much better to develop her as a backup now that all the other players are falling in line.

Other than the final make, it highlights the issue with Grace at this level. The Liberty are giving her 5-6 ft of space at the 3 pt line but she won’t take it. She’d rather dribble in and take a contested 12-15 footer. This was the same in college. In the W when the ball is swung to you open - you’ve got to be able to confidently knock that shot down. This killed the Fever until Hull started playing as it would swing to Wallace who was 90% likely to clank the open look

Sides, if she's still around next season, needs to do a much better of managing her bench. Berger and Wallace had almost the entire 2024 season flushed down the toilet thanks to their coach. If you look at New York and Minnesota, you can see how well and strategically Sandy Brondello and Cheryl Reeve use their number twos. Sides, not so much.

It is clear that coach Sides is not taking advantage of Grace Berger. Clark is not the only point guard on this team and Grace should be given more opportunity to grow and get more confident. Grace has been pushed aside because of the attention on CC. It is a sad waste of talent to not help Grace get better.
