Christie Sides need to give Grace Berger actual playing time to contribute to the team not garbage time when the game is already concluded. I'll bet she'll do more than Katie Lou who's practically contributed nothing this year. I seriously question Sides' coaching logic.

Grace has a good rookie season and coupled with the fact she is getting valuable experience playing overseas, I would be shocked if Grace isn't a part of the Fever for years to come

Her first name really fits her. She has a grace and nobility about her that is pretty unique.

This player has more proven tools in her toolbox than half of the current fever players. She can easily give a few minutes relief to CC seamlessly and can fill the 6th player rome in their shallow bench.

She has to be given more minutes. I'd put her on my starting five though. CC as PG, Berger as CG (in terms of role she is like Martin of Iowa, both 6 ft too), Mitchell as SG, Smith as FW and Boston in C position. That lineup would be wild for sure (like a Pro version of the 2022-2023 Iowa 5). Let's go Fever!

As much as I like Wheeler, I think Berger can do more as a backup guard and I think even more so for next year when Wheeler won’t be getting younger.

Not having Berger and Wallace in the rotation is a major shortfall for the Fever. There's no logic behind putting 35 to 40 minutes on Clark and Mitchell if they want to reach the Championship. The answer is sitting on the bench. Develop Berger and Wallace as a compliment to Clark and Mitchell. Get them up to speed over the off season. Both Berger and Wallace have dangerous speed and the ability score from anywhere. Both have game I.Q along with the physicality to mix it up in the paint. Boston, Wheeler, and Hull are solid. Fagbenle still has smart game in her. And Sexton can ball... Katie Lou will hopefully pick up speed during the off season. Smith has to go. She lacks impressive rebound numbers. The coach and GM have an outdated WNBA mindset that doesn't translate into a high paced game at both ends of the court. Lynn Dunn is stuck in the old WNBA box. Sluggish play, slow bigs, and sitting talent is not going to get the Fever into a deep run to the Championship.

I fear that all of her minutes will get bigfooted by the Caitlin Clark show - that is if she doesn't get cut or traded given the sheer number of guards the Fever signed in the offseason. Berger deserves better than to sit on the end of the bench.

Sides has not given Grace any playing time in 2024. Unbelievable, just another mark on Sides being a lousy coach.
