What are some things that AREN'T THINGS you're planning on decluttering this year?

In 2020 I decluttered things. For 2021 my goal I set almost a year ago was to declutter my body of excess weight that was holding me back so much. I looked at it as the ultimate declutter minimalism goal. It’s 11 months later and I’m almost at my goal and today I can say that all of the clothes in my closet fit and I like on me. Huge win.

Decluttering my emotional investment in other people’s opinions/expectations of me. 💪🏻

Oh my gosh, decluttering constant self-improvement spoke to my soul!! Thank you for bringing this up! There’s so much pressure out there to be better and do better, but that feeds right into perfectionism - which is another thing I want to declutter :)

Focus on living life rather than improving it...that's it. It's that simple. I love it

I’m with you on decluttering the constant self-improvement. It’s exhausting! I’m also decluttering self-doubt and need for external validation.

You've inspired me! I gave up Facebook a couple years ago (because I was addicted to reading the comments and it was creating a lot of unnecessary anxiety in my life) and I'm not on any other social media besides YT. I immediately felt more at peace at first. But I found myself last year listening to, of all things, talk radio. I'm right back where I was when I was using Facebook, and I have been thinking about giving up talk radio now. I need to find more neutral (less devisive) ways of staying informed, so I'm doing it!

My therapist explained guilt to me. It's a feeling of when you did somthing wrong. So if you think "am I doing anything wrong?" and if the answer is no theres no reason to feel guilty

I’m obsessed with your videos and I binge watch them. Your way of speaking is calming. You don’t speak all hyped up without a breath like other youtubers. I like how you let us in your thought process.

I loved it. Why are we acting permanently as we need to be fixed, we are broken and not good enough? I am good enough, always was.

I liked what I was doing last year, and the one before and I guess I will just keep on. I want to declutter complaining about being tired. I am actually tired of being tired 🤣

Self compassion - YES YES and YES again! I am just over a year sober and treating myself with compassion rather than beating myself up each time I slipped has made such a difference. Instead of being critical I got curious and looked at why I did what I did. Maybe an extreme example but I think we could all benefit from a little self compassion whatever it is we’re trying to achieve (even if it’s just eating a spoonful of veggies with dinner!)

The TRUTH that has been DROPPED😪😤. Usually these kinda videos feel fluffy to me but this hit. Can’t parent or punish ourselves (shame !!) into things & the fomo = jealously.

Loved your comment about not constantly working to “change you life!” As so many videos and books herald, but to go ahead and LIVE IT. I can so easily consider myself a project and need to step back and realize that I am ok. Just keep going and tweak along the way. It isn’t all bad.

Love your perspective on just living your life. I’m trying to also be present for my life rather than prioritizing being “productive”.

I tend to be all or nothing/perfectionism. So I told myself to do a no buy for makeup and books in this new year. 18 days in and I feel pretty good. I've been tempted but dang have I found weirdly good about not impulse shopping (even if its been less than a month so far)

#6 and 7... damn... that was like an arrow to my heart it was so direct. I think I may need to drop those too...

Thanks Christina, this video came the perfect time for me! I’ve already started to fall into a should-guilt spiral this month, so it was a good reminder…

I am at a very similar point in my life and I get so much value and affirmation out of your video 💕 I also want to focus on what brings me joy and work through the things that don't. Thank you 😊
