After 100 years, Disney finally decided to put out their own original fairy tale! Who woulda thought! Haha, obviously they’ve put out plenty of original stuff this past century, but it’s fun to see them take their classic formula, and turn it on it’s head a bit to celebrate ten decades of filmmaking. Personal Changes to Make to "Wish"
*Change the title to "Asha's Wish"
*Make Asha's friends be her adopted siblings so their bond would be more personal.
*Change the name of the kingdom from "Rosas" to "Estrella" (to go with the star theme).
*It's not just her grandfather's wish that Asha is considered about, but everyone she knows.
*Make Amaya a villain like her husband (as originally planned).
*Make the villain(s) have a personal connection with Asha (like say they killed the original king & queen aka Asha's parents).
*Have the message be "Sometimes you don't just need to wish for something to happen, you'll have to make it happen, now or never."

I loved Wish so much, I saw it 9 times in theaters. That's a new theatrical record of mine. I thought it was overall a great homage to 100 Years of Disney Animation and I love that they told an original story while doing so. What I loved most about the visuals was the Eyvind Earle inspired forest backgrounds. Very Sleeping Beauty like, everything looked so gorgeous on the big screen. Wish is pretty high in my ranking of 62 films, so far it's #16 in my ranking.

I really loved this film. It emotionally impacted me and my friend so hard. I cried like a baby for 5 days straight, especially when I replayed "A wish worth making." I feel like people get stuck on superficial details while ignoring how profound this movie really is. People call this movie "lazy" when it isn't. Its simple. Its beautiful simple and really doesn't try to be anything other than a thread that ties all Disney movies together which i think it does beautiful. I, really grateful this movie exist.

😔 People no longer know how to appreciate anything nowadays, and it really kills me to see comments full of hatred, poison and contempt towards that movie, this movie was really beautiful, maybe the story could have been a little better, but that's not an excuse to cruelly disparage this film.

What?No original Starboy concept?You missed one of the big ones....especially when he was a great concpet taking cues from Genie, Pan, Jack Frost and Sandman....its sad when were more interested in the film we didnt get than the film we got.

People who hate this movie need to keep their hateful opinions to THEMSELVES! Some of us actually enjoyed the movie. Just because it was a box office disappointment, doesn’t make it a horrible movie for people to avoid.

If Disney hadn't skipped the love story between Asha and the Starboy, and the villain couple Magnifico and his evil wife Amaya, then I would have absolutely LOVED "Wish"! WHY DISNEY?! 😭💔💢

Wish is merely a solid 6/10. Nothing really special and has some flaws, but still enjoyable enough. I love all the Disney Easter eggs in the movie too
