On May 18, we hosted our first "Mental Health we for All: Communities in Conversation" panel. Our first discussion centered BIPOC individuals as they discussed strategies for, and barriers to, mental health access and equity. Our panelists covered issues of stigma, access, inequity, challenges and healing. Our goal in hosting these panels was twofold: we hoped not only to increase public awareness about how diverse communities think about and address mental health, experience specific barriers, contemplate changes needed, promote recovery, and healing and build resilience, but also to foster conversations around how "othering"  impacts communities, and what type of changes need to be advanced to achieve “Mental Health for All.”
