Ducted evaporative cooling is an effective way to cool your home in the hot and dry climate of Adelaide. This type of cooling system relies on a simple yet effective process to provide your home with cool, refreshing air.

First, warm outside air is drawn into the evaporative cooler by a fan. As it passes through wet filter pads, the air causes the water to evaporate. This process expels any hot air that was present in the air, leaving behind cooled air. A ventilation fan then directs this cooled air through the ducts in your home, effectively cooling the entire space.

If you’re interested in installing a ducted evaporative cooling system in your home, visit a local store and speak with Adelaide’s evaporative air conditioning specialists. Brands like Braemar, Breezair, and Coolair offer a range of ducted evaporative cooling solutions that can be tailored to your specific needs. At Gas Works, we can help you find the air conditioning solution that works best for you.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF EVAPORATIVE COOLERS?
Ducted evaporative air conditioners have a number of benefits that will help to keep you comfortably cool year after year while keeping your running costs down.

Fresh Air: Ducted evaporative air conditioners work by drawing in outside air from the roof unit and using cooling pads to lower it’s temperature. This means that you’re always breathing in cool fresh air which is distributed through the house via ducting in the roof cavity. Odours in the home are also eliminated as the stale inside air is replaced every 2 to 3 minutes. What’s more, the hotter the air outside the better your ducted evaporative air conditioning system will work.

Affordability: Ducted evaporative cooling systems are one of the most cost efficient methods for cooling your home. In fact, statistics show that they can be up to eight times cheaper to run that refrigerated systems.

Enviromentally friendly: Evaporative ducted air conditioner use water instead of refrigerant gas to help with the cooling system. This means that you can enjoy the benefits of cool air while looking after the environment.

Evaporative cooling works better with dry places which tend to have water restrictions; perhaps this can be paired with water harvesting/ collecting technologies
