and use the seeds for salads, nice treat for a few weeks.

I don't Harvest until half the leaves are totally brown. Extra time in the ground gives me a bigger bulb. You can wait even longer till more leaves are brown but at some point the cloves begin to separate which greatly reduces storage life.

I just harvested my first successful harvest of 48 bulbs! Now I need to know what to do with the garlic smell filling my house. One of my daughters hates the smell. Any advice. Freeze it in freezer bags?

I live outside of Council Bluffs, Iowa. We had to harvest our garlic early because we have had so much rain, it was starting to mold. Our soil has not tired in weeks.

😭 i did not plant garlic this year because I thought I was getting evicted in April (lower mainland BC Canada, its so common we have a word - rennoviction)
I haven't received 4month notice yet 😂 coulda had garlic.
End of march I buckled and decided to garden. Its going great even if its by the butt of my pants.

My wife plants between 800 and 900 bulbs every fall and it's ready to pick by the 2nd week of July here in SW Idaho. Yummy!!!
