Hello Professor Biezen! At minute 3:17, you say the intial momentum for x is equal to the sum of its components after the collision but you wrote y instead of x. I am a massive fan! Just wanted you to know!

SIr I guess there is a mistake. I am not sure because you wrote m1v1=m1v1fx+m2v2fx not fy. If it is a typo please correct it as it is a bit confusing. I dont know if I am right or wrong
