Thank you for the review. I've got an SA50 and was looking for an additional mini-amp after returning a defective Lepai. Was looking at the SA36 and SA60 as options too vs getting another SA50. Saw both of your reviews and choose the SA60. Price was only about 3$ more for the SA60 (about $20 less for the SA36) and I liked the bass boost option you demonstrated on the SA60. I didn't see anything about that in the item description when first considering to order.

Im really new to these kind of amps. I just want to have 2 monitors and a powered subwoofer, but cant find an amp with an output jack to connect the subwoofer. Any amp recommendations? Want something small like these, not like a receiver. Thanks!

Do you have problems with ground loop using these amps? I bought both and both have buzzing when turned all the way up (nothing playing) when using the rear inputs. The front input of the sa60 is noise free. The sa60 was fine for a while then went tits up after unplugging it once..

im hearing stories about sa50 being extremely short lived if its yr main amp. is that true to yours? i hearing it would kill itself soon after the 100h mark

Great review, thanks! Would you think I would have problems powering some monitors like auratones with 87db sensitivity @1 metre and a powering rating of 50 watts (8 Ohm)? I'm mostly concerned about the THD+N which seems to be pretty high on these SMSLs, is it really 10%? Is it actually that much noticeable?

Hey ZEOS, looking to build a portable boombox in a wood cabinet - would the SA60 be a good fit? We would cut out a slot in the side cabinet to view the front plate?

Can this be used to amplify the two back speakers of a HTiB roughly run on 25-30 feet of cable? The two back speakers noticeable lower and replacing the setup isn't an option at the moment.

I just picked up the SA-60 for my desktop setup that I am running to a pair of Micca Mb42x's, and using the Fiio K1 as my DAC, (super budget I know but it works well, and the loudness button for the SA-60 is no joke), and I'm wondering if there is any way to add a powered sub to this setup?

Is the idle power consumption that you say (less than 1w) for the sa-50 or sa-60. Do you know what it would be for the sa-36 and sa-98?

I am looking at having them on all the time - is that wise (for these types of amps)?

I just ordered a Dayton Audio apa150 that I am thinking about replacing my sa50 for my desk setup. Do you think there will be an improvement. I realize they are 2 different amps so I am comparing apples with oranges. I figured it would be an improvement and I hope I am not wrong because the sa50 sounds pretty damn good. I am using Cambridge Audio S30 speakers with the amp on my desk. Your thoughts?
