This is how you can request a copy of my entire electronic claim file:

“I would like a copy of my entire claims file to include all service treatment records, personnel records, DD 214 and rating decision/s to include code sheet and any compensation and pension exam from the VA and any third-party contractors. The entire electronic claim folder on CD.”

How I obtained a copy of my VA Breakdown letter to include the diagnostic codes.

I called the VA at 800-827-1000 and inform them that:

“I would like a summary letter/disability breakdown letter to include, all my service-connected conditions, percentages and diagnostic codes.” (If you are not service connected, you will not have one). Also, you can have them email or fax (if you don’t have a fax at home, you can download a fax app in the play store on your phone) this information, if the person doesn’t want to email or fax it, hang up and call back and speak to someone else.

Our military personnel, active or retired should not be denied any medical, physical, or mental help ! Cut the pay of lying, thieving politicians and put it towards taking care of our military personnel !

My sleep apnea secondary to PTSD was denied even with a reputable nexus and they later said my sleep apnea was linked to my TERA exposure.

I was able to connect my sleep apnea to allergic rhinitis. I had my non-VA allergist and ENT doctors fill in a DBQ and submitted it with my claim.

I received 50% sleep apnea secondary to ptsd. Traumatic incident needs to be added too in your support statement form.

Also TBIs. There are two different types of sleep apnea. I read a study in social work graduate school in 2015 that found that those exposed to blast exposure are dramatically more likely to have sleep apnea. If my memory serves me correctly, it is 7x more likely or something like that.

How are you going to file a claim without a dbq if the reason for the c&p exam to have the dbq completed? Having you own doctor fill it out?...

I submitted a OSA claim secondary to ptsd with a nexus stating obesity as an intermediate. I should’ve sent a dbq but I didn’t. My VSO checked in VBMS and told me the examiner stated “less than likely” on her recommendation. I’m waiting on the letter to see the details. I’ll call my sleep doctor and see if I can get a letter from him and a DBQ filled out and send it as a supplemental claim. Appeal will be plan C.

I submitted a claim for OSA secondary to PTSD. I was denied. I appealed, and I got a nexus letter and a DBQ where the private medical professional stated the connection was "more likely than not" linked. So, there is now conflicting conclusions. They still denied, but didn't read the evidence. So, I submitted for a HLR.

NIH definitely says there are many links to OSA & CSA including narcolepsy, epilepsy, PTSD, tinnitus & so much more.

I was denied twice based on those same circumstances you described. Even with overwhelming medical evidence & diagnoses. At this point we know that the VA is improperly rating veterans, what are we left to do?

I have a C and P exam for this but it's tele health? Is that the same as in person, I have all the information from diagnosis, to lay statements, to prescriptions and all, just no nexus letter and it's for secondary to my MDD.

But him saying they are gonna deny any way that's just crazy 😂. I guess I will try

I just got diagnosed with moderate csvd which leads to cognitive decline, any possibility as a secondary to my service connection to sleep apnea?

Went to comp n pen 2nd one low back supp claim appeal. Dr said he can't understand why 1st examiner denied me my benefits as it is right in service record diagnosed chronic low back pain. Said va is asking him the wrong question they are asking if fibromyalgia caused my low back condition. He said they should direct connect and fibromyalgia aggravation
