One of my favorite theories that will (eventually) be confirmed:
There are seven soul colors and seven Deltarune chapters. I saw a post saying that maybe each secret boss will use a different soul mode. Jevil w/ Determination, Spamton w/ Justice, etc. That would also include Patience and Bravery soul modes.

I think it's also wild how Patience is getting double-scammed because blue attacks just aren't a thing in Deltarune yet.
Some of Spamton's bullets ARE blue but don't function that way.

I think Deltatraveler's version of making the Patience soul-mode a "Stop and parry" worked out great. Really makes you think this kid fell down and was blocking magical attacks like some kung-fu master

I think Cyan mode would be the more you move, the more you slow down, and Orange mode would be slippery af.

For me, Outertale takes the cake on a patience soul mode, and I feel like it fits considering text in Undertale does say the patience human used to ambush, which is almost like they teleported
But for the Orange soul mode concept in Outertale? don’t really remember much of it so it prob wasn’t the best(?) Seems like we still need some work on the Orange soul mode (which isn’t the stereotypical “you’re always moving”)

patience: can only move when near attacks (or grazing in deltarune)
bravery: unstoppable circle movement, but you can change directions. you can also jump between circles

My favorite idea for an Orange Soul mode is an invincibility dash to go through bullets, and while my favorite take I’ve seen on a Cyan mode is something that can parry, another neat idea I had was that the SOUL stays still and you move around a reticle that you teleport the SOUL with a button press.

I’d like to think that they are a reflection of each other and would be introduced one after another or together, where the patience soul forces your soul to move in a way where the more you try to move from the initial location of the soul in box where you move your soul, the slower you get, forcing the player to have to be more reactionary with how they move unless they want to be frozen in place by moving too much and get battered. The orange soul would work in a different more simple way, the players would can’t stop moving and their speed is increased, forcing the player to have to play more actively, moving or circling around dangerous attack since they can’t just sit in a corner of the box for the bullet to go away since the soul will bounce off the box’s corners, the unique thing about bravery could be that you could forcibly stop your soul from moving temporarily in this state at the cost of increased damage during this time due to being cowardly Same thing for patience where you can force yourself to keep moving temporarily but take more damage due to being too impatient.
