A good tutor becomes a great tutor with these tips. I agree, experience is very important. Having a teaching background and knowing how to train young minds plus handle the difficulties that inevitably come along with kids is critical. To use a different word for tip #2 I would say passion! Have a passion and yes, be enthusiastic about what you do and the role you play in shaping young minds for their future! good tips!
