In this video, I cover the Simpsons’ 37-Year long history. The Simpsons as characters are officially 37 years old, and the current Simpsons TV show is soon becoming a nice round 35 years old.

03:26 - This is NOT what you might think it is. The joke here is having a hard time spelling the character's name, which is "Dr. N!godatu"
09:57 - The 1990 game I'm talking about here seems to have been a pinball machine, not a video game. The first Simpsons video game, and the reason I thought Bart vs. The Space Mutants was the third game (second after the "game" that was instead a pinball machine), was "The Simpsons" Arcade game released by Konami in 1991
12:43 - Bart VS. Australia was apparently not and is not hated by Australians in general, and this does seem to be an accidental overstatement. According to some comments, and posts I have seen online too I believe, this episode is generally liked by Australians, and some even reference the jokes in the episode.

Simpsons was like legendary for me from season 1-8 nothing will top how good the Simpsons were it's sad what they became after

Even though Disney has definitely milked Simpsons dry, they've still produces few actual gems of the HD era. Season 33 "Serious Flanders 1&2" and "Pixelated and afraid" are actual masterpeices.

This is amazing. I wasn’t allowed to watch the Simpsons growing up. I did watch a bit of a couple of the older episodes when I was eleven or twelve and one “modern” episode when I was fourteen but I didn’t start watching the show itself until I was seventeen and I’ve loved it ever since.

We've finally reached the point in time where people don't know what collect calling was. 1-800-COLLECT was a way of making a collect call, which was a way to make a long-distance call with the recipient responsible for the cost

Yeah, "Some Enchanted Evening" was supposed to be the first episode but wound up as the last episode of Season 1 instead. That's why it's the only episode without a couch gag, as it was meant to be the original standard opening that all the other episodes would then modify in some way.

I'm as old as the Simpsons. My dad showed me this when I was 6, and I was hooked, and I grew up on this best time ever! And then it became Family Guy and American dad. I love it ❤

Whenever I hear someone say that Australians don’t like the Australia episode I get so confused because as an Australian I’ve only ever seen it praised here by everyone to the point where a lot of people genuinely say “dollarydoos” and no one even questions it. I can only assume it was an older more prideful audience who are probably in their 60/70s now and couldn’t take a joke towards their own culture haha
