How would they enforce this?
They introduced a ban on smoking in pubs etc 17 years ago, and the pubs HAD to enforce it or be fined and lose their licence. How will they enforce it outside? Pubs etc cant tell people in the street what to do. Are we going to have police, who havent got time to deal with shoplifting and car theft, going to find time to stop people smoking outside the bingo halls, and WMCs? Are landlords gong to be fined and lose their licence if someone walking past their premises smokes?
Smoking is foolish, but people are entitled to be foolish if they choose to.
