Making A Living From Music Libraries - Is It Possible?

In this video I want to explore the possibility of writing production music for stock and royalty free music libraries full time and if it's possible? Here's a few thoughts on the subject as well as some updates on my sales on Motion Array, Pond 5 and Artlist.

I live in London 😅😅 but stock music is providing a very healthy boost to my other music incomes. I agree that quality over quantity is the way now because with the available technology, you can't expect to be paid just because you know how to work a daw etc. You've got to make something that sounds commercial quality. Had a track of mine as he no. 1 staff pick on Motion array recently, so that's a pat on the back. If only it was up there longer than a week! 😅

Do you often get sales on older tracks? Or our best bet to get sales is to hope that our track will be sold in the first days, since the algorithm is working that way (favoring newer tracks), what's your take Stevie on this?
