Absolutely breathtaking sharpness, color depth, skin tones and rendering out of this sensor and lens. This is the camera I’d rent to shoot a feature documentary.

One important note you could have mentioned: the GFX100, being a medium format camera, allows you to get much closer to the subject while keeping a wider angle than smaller sensors. Benefit? You can shoot in smaller spaces and rooms, and achieve nice compression when needed.

Somehow I feel that the big sensor produces videos that are just soothing, artsy, and nice. It's subjective but I really feel it.

Thanks for the video, guys. The Fujifilm cameras like under exposing, right? Shadow recovery is better than highlight recovery? A tricky day to shoot in for sure. If you wanna see more videos shot with this camera, check out Cinema 5G. They shot some lovely footage in Tokyo during the launch event. In the video by Cinema 5G I think they had a more cinematic approach, and the way they used it I could definitely see some benefit of the huge sensor, big glass, and sick sharpness. For certain projects I think medium format is a great choice for video. But for most situations it's probably overkill.

Thank you guys. Got the GFX100 and two Fujinon lenses brand new last year. It would be a good feature for Fuji to provide a cropped sensor read out and push video to 60 fps if possible. My only real complain though is battery life.

I really think Fuji has the best color science. Wish they’d make a full frame or medium format cinema camera
