First Look at the Fujifilm's X-M5 | DPReview

The Fujifilm X-M5 is the company's latest APS-C mirrorless camera and comes in as the lowest-end entry in its current lineup. It uses the company's last-generation 26MP X-Trans sensor, the same one found in cameras like the X-T4 and X-100V, but comes equipped with its latest processor, giving it access to Fujifilm's AI-powered subject detection autofocus.

Key features:
26MP X-Trans BSI CMOS sensor
X-Processor 5 with AI-powered subject detection AF
On-sensor phase detection
Fully articulated 3", 1.04M-dot LCD
20 Film Simulation modes, including Reala ACE
Continuous shooting up to 8fps (30fps with E-shutter and 1.25x crop)
6.2K 3:2 video up to 30p, 4K up to 60p with crop
External mic and 3.5mm headphone socket
Single UHS-I card slot
Battery life rated up to 330 frames (440 frames in Eco) per charge
The X-M5 will be available TK at a body-only price of $799. At launch, it'll be available in the silver color seen in the product photos here, but a black version is coming later. Fujifilm hasn't announced a date for that yet.

Fujifilm is also selling a kit with the X-M5 and its XC15-45mmF3.5-5.6 OIS PZ lens for $899. Optically, it's not our favorite lens, but its size and price make it an obvious pairing with this camera.

Jordan, how did you get 30 years younger?

That’s a nice EDC Fuji with a 27mm lens

One question, just like the x100v and its sisters, is it still possible to create NEW FILM SIMULATION RECIPES, in addition to the ones that come with the camera?

Would be perfect if it flipped up instead of to the side and had IBIS

Good video but with the existing XT30 mark ii offering more for a phoographer being just 50grams heavier. Interestingly the XE3 shares the same weight and similar size, again for photographers. For me the addition of an IBIS would make it interesting though.

Is it another unavailable product as the X100VI? :)

I suggest you guys update the preview with a comparison to the Nikon Z30 instead of the Sony A6100. Altough is still being sold, the Sony A6100 is from 2019 and the comparison already has a Sony model the ZV-E10 II.

Shame there's no ibis. But understandable for that price and weight point.

The spec sheet is good for the price. Hard pass though, the Panasonic S9 is now less than USD1, 400 and has objectively better specs, and it's full frame.

I'm confused. It seems as if the difference in quality compared to a highend phone wouldn't be noticed by most people, so who's going to buy this?

Another Fuji toy that has terrible autofocus and soft mushy raw files. Thanks, I’ll pass. I have Sony, Nikon and Panasonic to choose for.

Unsubscribing and moving towards PetaPixel. No potential of present DPR channel. Responsible people to take into consideration ☝🏻

why tf are you showing Fujifilm XT-5 for half of this video? Chris and Jordan would never do this amateur mistake.
