201mph in a BMW M6! 172mph in a 997 Carrera 2! And off the 160mph clock in an AMG E55, but the one I'm proudest of, 155mph in a Series 3 V12 Jaguar E-type...just before it went bang.

Wehen I was 8, my dad owned a Merc CLK 430 AMG with a V8 with 280hp. When we were going to Dortmund he showed me what 300km/h (on the tacho) feels like! I will never forget this story and I tell it to all my friends! This car was lovely, thanks for the reminder, evo!

330 Km/H in a highway in Santiago Chile...with a Bmw M6. A lot of factors had to be in place for doing that... Monday 3am, very long straight.

Best time to start your high speed run is on a Sunday in the early hours around 5am. In Germany Trucks are not allowed to drive on Sundays and everyone else is still sleeping. Also the engine can breath the healthy cool and fresh morning air. In Bavaria at best on the A94, A92, A9.

This episode got me thinking if you ever have time, an episode about how you ask (or if they suggest) companies or private owners for the keys to their cars would be very interesting. I'm interested in some of the funny stories or the process to secure some of the rarest metal on the earth and I'm sure there would be a ton of bloopers or behind the scenes action that we don't see you guys could talk about.

174 felt insane to me. It had more in it but I didn't. For a car to feel stable at 200mph I consider that a true achievement. This car seem is the perfect luxury car for the lovers of speed.

Sorry I can't supply a 200mph story but here in the US we have a distinct lack of anything remotely resembling the autobahn.

The best autobahn to do really big speed is the A5 near Frankfurt. Four lanes, arrow straight and over 10 miles. The best time to do it is actually when there is a big football game, when germany is playing, because then everybody is watching the game and the autobahns are pretty empty. I did that in 2010 with a 911 Carrera 4 and managed almost 300kph.
Funny: My old camera shot off at about 250 aswell, so I don't have the complete footage of my run:)
Also just did over 285 in a C63 Edition 507:)

Not been to an Autobahn sadly or Germany for that matter, but did manage to go 203mph in a turbo'd Audi R8 at Bruntingthorpe (as a passenger) a couple of months ago - scary and fun at the same time.

I've done 324km/h (201mp/h) in a tuned 911 Turbo during daytime on autobahn, got lucky with the traffic. It was damn scary but once of the best adrenaline rushes I've experienced. Now days I dont feel such an urge to drive big speeds on autobahn anymore :)

The fastest i drove myself was an indicated 280 km/h (175 mph) in a VW Phaeton W12 (450 hp) and an indicated 300 km/h (187 mph) as a passanger in a turbocharged Golf R32 mk IV (about 460 hp).

Done 280 kmh in my BMW M5 e60 on the autobahn in daylight towards Würzburg - no traffic. The limiter kick in in 6th gear, so it could definitely go more without the limiter.
You did said you did the tire pressure before going out. What is the ideal tire pressure for a high speed run?

Never done anywhere close to 200 but I did do around 230kph in a rental 1.8 Mercedes C class Estate crammed with 4 people and luggage on the Autobahn last year and it sure felt pretty quick. I would love to do 200 one day though
