To actually hold something that started it's journey nearly 2, 000 years ago is just something I can't fathom. I think this is my favorite video of yours yet. I love how you show the object being found, provide the research, and then compare it to items in the British museum. That is fantastically useful to history geeks!

Very interesting and nicely produced video Tobias. You have amassed a superb collection of artefacts. I was reminded of a great day I shared with a small group of friends just over 40 years ago, when we were permitted to assist a professional team of archaeologists who were working on a Roman site at a place called Caerleon in South Wales. I will never forget the rush of excitement I felt when I found a very small piece of red-coloured roofing tile. The lady in charge of the dig told me what it was and allowed me to keep it. I have it to this day! Looking forward to your next installment. Thank you Tobias.

Fascinating video Tobias. I've only recently started collecting pieces of Roman pottery myself. It's not something that's often found on my permissions, but still nice to find now and then.

GREETINGS Tobias . ..Feb 29----Leap blog today was really extra special. Did you get a chance to roam the banks of the Thames during your most recent Full moon, heavy rains and most incredible tides? I hope so.... It struck me today how and just why I am fascinated with these amazing discoveries . In school (US) I had the worst Ancient History teacher on the planet....She was so dull and I wish she had made the effort to present it in a way that would have created and stimulated our interest and curiosity. I even remember her name, Mrs. Rugg. When did your curiosity begin? Thanks we all appreciate you and look forward to part 2. PS Nicola just recently found a nice chunk of "siemean" ? Ware question spelling Google is fighting me and keeps changing the word...

Are you required to report all Roman artifacts ? Or just certain ones? Thank you for a video that was informative and well done.

I was so close to leaving this video because I sure did not want to hear that loud music the whole time. Glad I forwarded 1:32min. Seems like it may be good now.
