The final video of the series on my fall 2019 American Northwest camping adventures, this one is simply about finding a beautiful campsite to relax, explore and appreciate the view. Filmed around the Snake River between Oregon and Idaho. By the way, there is an abundance of poison ivy in the area, so please be cautious if you are sensitive to it!

As an 87 year old "Recliner Babe"... I enjoy all the Van couples, their great photography talents and adventures. Through YOUR camera lenses and expertise, I am transported with setting up camp (my love and I traveled and camped in a cab over camper on a 1970 ...3/4 ton Chevy only the basics.
Thanks to you and the ability you have to tell it like it is....and just when to let nature do the talking....I can hear the voice of the the sunsets, etc. I dont know how you do it....but I swear I can even smell the flora and fauna.
Our travel days are over, now. You have my gratitude for letting us come with you.
You are the very best at what you do.

Thank you for reminding us that there will be life after the coronavirus. No matter how much humans want to believe in their superiority, nature is the ultimate force, and it's ever changing march forward will continue. Seeing you almost dwarfed by nature makes the point that we are just a small part of something bigger and learning to see it and enjoy it is gift.

Wow! What a beautiful part of the country. I am already 70 yrs old and not in very good health. But I did some camping in my younger years. When I did it, it was so relaxing and enjoyable. Unfortunately I didn't do it enough. Your are privileged and blessed to have good health and able to do what you do. Thank you for showing us your adventures enjoying them so much. Take care and happy camping. 🚣🐦🦅🦃🛶🏕️🏔️🏞️

Oh you have brought back some darn good memories with my wife and her parents.. All are gone now and I only have the fond memories. we practically raised our kids boating and camping on the snake down there. we had many fish fries and drank a few beers on hot days. I told my wife when she was alive that we mus have done something right with our kids taking them fishing and camping as they are good young men and women now. in fact they take their kids doing the same thing we did with them. I do miss my wife and the fun we had but I am glad I had the opportunity to have that time with her

Dear Slim, I was expecting a great video, but you have shown us A FABULOUS one. What beautiful area and you, as usual, have captured it so wonderfully. Sad that they didn't do anything to allow the salmon farther upstream. Maybe, someday, it will be rectified. Thank you for taking us all along with you as you reveal anew the wonders of our one Earth. Stay safe and take care. From the land of the mosquito, Florida.

I grew up on the Snake River. My side of the river was in Wyoming. I'm from Jackson and each one of your videos makes me home sick, even when you're in Mexico. I think it's just the freedom I see you have. I lived in a teepee in the 70s and miss nature.

Presently in Idaho and I am surprised by the diversity of beauty in this state. It has pretty much anything that anyone could want. Thanks, Slim.

Always reminded me of parts of the Interior of British Columbia. Your videography is a cut above as usual. This was the best thing I've seen this unemployed socially distanced day. Thank you so very much!

So glad you published this video. Though I enjoy your trailer modding how-tos, the nature and exploring stuff is what I love best. Your videography is masterful. You have such a wonderful eye for composition and detail. One could literally grab any frame from this video and have a print suitable for framing! Absolutely one of your top videos. Thank you for doing what you do.

Mr. Potatohead, that video was an admirable example of art over ego. I'm guessing I'll watch it many more times. A masterpiece.

Beautifully filmed and edited, Mr Potatohead! I felt as if I was watching a PBS special and could feel my stress level diminish with the sights and sounds of nature. Thanks for sharing this at a time when we are all cooped up. It provided a much-needed momentary escape.
