HJC Helmet Breakdown - V10 Review

The V10 goes beyond the vintage look with new-age features such as a lightweight fiberglass shell, aerodynamic performance, emergency tabs for extra safety, detachable and washable interior, and easy bolts for a quick visor replacement. This helmet is Bluetooth compatible with Smart HJC.

I have this helmet. Good points:
It's a great, tight fit.
The looks.
The sound proofing.
The visor fits snuggly, so no whistle.
The visor latches well, when I have the visor cracked at 60mph it doesn't fly open.
Bad points:
I wear glasses and below 30mph my glasses steam up so I have to crack the visor.
The chin strap is uncomfortable, but aren't they all?!
The helmet parachutes at around 75-80 mph. Not too badly, but noticeably.
Overall I'm really happy with it. 7/10.

There is no ventilation on the back of the helmet, for air to escape... Seems like on the pre-production versions there were 2 holes on bottom in the back and also a breath deflector in the front, but they are not there in the final version.

I have had my V10 3 weeks. Very comfortable and quite, though there is a strong whistle when the visor is open around 30+, I do ride a z1000 naked so sort of expected. There are no issues with pull even at high speeds😉. Vents do help with cooling face but not head, so they are a bit warm in hot weather. HJC coloured visor looks awesome on plain black lid.

Awesome helmet. Got mine, in the beautiful deep green 2 weeks ago. Very very happy with mine, even while I also wear a much more expensive Shoei NXR2.

Id jump at buying this if it had an internal flip sun visor too. Still weighing this up against other options.

No rear vents why did they take them off because pre-release pictures showed vents at the back of the shell like the Arai rapide has.

I just bought this helmet and as soon i ride over 50km/h with the visor open there is a terribly annoying whistle. What solution you guys have? Because if there is no solution i really don’t recommend this helmet…

Why is the same helmet rated for ECE in europe and DOT in the US. Is there any differences in construction between the 2 models?

Does this helmet have air outlets at the back? Some YouTube videos show that there are two holes at the bottom, but this video doesn't have them.
On the helmet website, the descriptions say that they have two outlets.

HJC: the helmet looks great so do something similar with who shows the videos.
You can do much better, can you?
