About the only things I respect about Reagan, is him saying "no" to the question of whether the Soviet Union was an "evil empire", and his call "Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall".

Gorbachev, by the way, is still alive (age 90 years). Compared with his snaps back then with Reagan, he now looks really old. Wishing him health!

I think, maybe, it would be instructive to point out Ted Kennedy's role in helping Reagan win. His primary challenge to a sitting president divided the Democratic party.

I’m a leftist and opposed Reagan but this is biased and should be disclaimed as such.

For some reason I don’t think this guy likes Reagan

Gorbachev: "Dude, we both know you probably can't even do the dumb space laser thing. Just say you won't do it and we can start getting rid of nukes."
Reagan: no." Lol

Watching this I keep saying, “wow, trump pushed that” over and over. It’s incredible how similar the two campaigns were.

I never fully comprehended the extent of the Reagan revolution until I learned about how Reagan had dismantled much of the how the Federal Government spent money and replaced it w/ a block grant system. It literally took the power away from the Federal government and shifted it to the states and counties. It was truly a fundamental revolutionary but a silent revolution and those are the most profound.

Terrific video Professor Dave. I look forward to your monthly videos. Have you ever considered during a series on U.S states? That's next on my bucket list of learning. It would be cool to learn about the history of each state, their state motto and bird, and why they came into existence.

If there's nothing I love more than shitting on Reagan myself, it's hearing other people shit on Reagan

Dude, you made 39 solid videos up until now. Way too much of your own opinion. Give others opinions, not yours.

I like to think as FDR as the hero of the American liberal and Reagan as the hero of the American Conservative. Both were important and influential presidents that shaped Modern American Politics.

Thanks for the video Professor

This is a quite controversial topic. And you have clearly picked your side in the video. Professor Dave, I enjoy your videos much more when you stick with your science topics.
