My son kept trying this & it wasn't working (no redownload option, only a greyed out 'purchased' button), we went under my user name & voila, there it was & redownloaded no problem. So if you're having trouble, try it through one of the other users on your switch :)

For everyone who's saying that it;s not showing up on the carousel, I'm having the same problem! I think the servers are either down or running slowly right now, so it might take a while for the icon to show up! Just wait a while and the download should start.

When I deleted a game and I go back to the Nintendo e shop I searched it up and it’s already purchased but It doesn’t show the redownload button it has a grey box on the purchased button (if that makes sense)

I went on my Lite and I searched the game I wanted to play but as soon as I clicked it, the Redownload button was replaced with “Purchased”.

I purchased animal crossing then I didt play the game for some months and then it says that I needed to check the Nintendo e shop to see if I purchased the game but I did purchase the game and now it wants me to buy it again. Great job Nintendo.
