Steelseries Sensei 'Tournament Grade' Wireless Gaming Mouse

The Sensei Wireless contains the best wireless technology Steelseries could put in it - and frankly based on my experience with the H Wireless I had pretty high expectations for that - and includes some key improvements over the wired version that may have existing Sensei owners considering an upgrade, but I feel like they missed an opportunity here by using a laser sensor instead of an optical one with no acceleration.

Imagine a wireless mouse that can be charged if it is placed on the mouse pad. That would be awesome.

Laser sensors don't inherently have acceleration.
It's just that all mice use the one of a handful of sensors and the laser sensor of the time had acceleration problems. The newer Avago sensors (which I assume should be in this mouse) don't.

How I like to think this was created:
Manager: We need a new mouse, How did the Sensei do
Employee: (insert here whether or not it did great)
Manager: Ok, WAIT! What is that?!
Employee: What sir?
Manager: That long, thin, black thing coming from the mouse?
Employee: The wire?
Manager: Get rid of it
Employee: But...
Manager: NOW!
Also does this have acceleration?!

Make a video about gaming mice specs and what really matters, like polling rate is 1000 Hz really better? etc...

The symbol on the mouse reminds me of Lyoko Code symbol. Woah, blast from the past, it was a long time since i even thought of it, must have been years.

Why in Ebay every thing costs much more than Amazon?

This is completely off-topic (but not really), but Steel Series has put out a new Optical Sensor mouse called the Rival. I might be biased in saying this, but it's sincerely one of the best mice I've used in a while. Be it that it's wired, and not high-end (~$50), there could be something that's better, but you've got to give it to them that they HAVE tried optical sensors. And in my opinion, they've done it pretty well.

I like how linus comments on big brand product...It gives me the honest opinion and good feel that not everyone is just saying 'yes' because it's a big brand product. *thumbsup*

The mouse is actually pretty good. It's really comfortable in my medium sized hands and it has a very nice texture. I use it to play CS:GO and i have never noticed any acceleration. It is very stable when used wireless, but i personally use it with the wire.

@3:39 talking about the Ikari laser, Linus' review of it is actually on its Steelseries' product page, I just thought that was really cool.

I bought this mouse a few weeks ago, I don't know about all the acceleration business though, but so far I'm quite happy, sure it was quite expensive, but the ability to switch between wired and wireless is actually really nice, I hope you'll be able to buy the cable, you can just use a Micro USB cable, but would like the one that fits with the locking mechanism.

Linus is so charming and has such high quality videos that he basically said there is no point to watching the video at the very beginning of the video BUT I WATCHED ANYWAY! WTF!

I upgraded from a laser mouse to an optical mouse and never looked back. The consistency is almost perfect in the aim and muscle memory. Although I didn't notice how much my previous mouse was affecting my aim I noticed an almost immediate improvement in my tracking and muscle memory once I upgraded to an optical sensor.

Don't spend more than $35 on a laser mouse, for the love of god.
