That's called, "were not getting home this way"

That was the calmest derailment I've seen in a long time

This is why you need to keep a safe distance from tracks when you stop for a train.

They didn’t record that for our enjoyment. They recorded it because they know the camera man always survives.

Lack of maintenance is what's causing all of this.

And this, ladies and gentlemen, is why you do not nose up to the gates, as if your proximity will make them lift sooner.

That’s called “precision scheduled railroading” otherwise known as “lack of maintenance”.

Had that been on fast track it would have been unbelievably destructive and potentially deadly for those folks that caught it on camera. They handled it all really well 👍.. good video!

These are the type of people you want around during an emergency. Calm and collected instead of in hysterics.

That's why you never stop too close to a train.

Three train derailments per day on average.
All across the USA.

That's called poor maintenance. Most of the railroad companies are negligent, cost lives, but they are not usually held accountable.

So lucky that train was travelling slowly. Happy you were not injured

That's why I don't like to be sitting very close to the tracks in my car. You never know what can go wrong. I sure don't want one of those things blasting through me.
