The "Militia" our constitution refers to NOT THE MILITARY OR ITS' RESERVES. It is the regular folks like doctors, lawyers, grocers, teachers, bus drivers etc. (in Ukraine) who have fired a shot in their lives or even held a firearm. Our 2A is to assure that EVERYONE has the opportunity to posses and KNOW how to use a firearm effectively (not necessarily accurately) any time an enemy, FOREIGN OR DOMESTIC (police), attempts to harm us.

What is going on in Ukraine right now, unfortunately for the Ukrainian people, is the best reason in the world to not be unarmed.

I am a Vietnam veteran.
In 1968, I went to a country I had hardly ever heard of. Was not old enough to vote, not old enough to drink, had not yet owned a car, lived at home with my mom and dad.
BUT
Here I was, learning my first lesson in life: Life was cheap outside of our United States.
NOW
Because of the political atmosphere in this country, all I now have to do to see how cheap life is, just open my front door.

Our 2nd Ammendment protects all our other rights.
In my personal piece of America, I fly a United States Flag and a Gadsden Flag.
I WILL NEVER BE UNARMED!

The result of war always falls hardest on the soldiers and civilians. I feel very bad about the injuries and deaths on combatants on BOTH sides and the innocent civilians caught in the middle. Anyone who has been in combat knows the true horror. Viet Nam, '67, 9th. infantry medic.
