Glad you showed this. When I was a kid someone was talking about bleaching their hair. I went home and grabbed the home bleach bottle and burned my hair. Not good and some people learn the hard way. Haha

Cosmetology student here! I've had a fascination with hair color manipulation as long as I can remember! When I was around 12 I had an itch to change my hair that couldn't be scratched without. Now I wanted to change my hair drastically but I had no money so I took household bleach and decided to do a test strand. Thank the Lord I had common sense at 12 and decided I didn't think it was the same as for hair, so I rinsed it off the test strand immediately. A decade later...I see this video💀

When i was 14 my sister used box bleach on my hair and she said she knew what she was doing but obviously didn't because she started on the top and scrubbed it into my scalp and i started crying a little because it hurt so bad and i couldn't breath very well but was told i was just being a baby so i thought it was normal and left it on for about 40 minutes. After showering my hair was hard so i rewashed 3 times, just from feel i thought i had just fried it.. My hair was all orange etc so THEN my mom took me to a salon where they wouldn't fix it for at least 3 weeks of healing said i had 2nd to 3rd degree chemical burns on my scalp. I couldn't even use a real hair brush. 🤦

When I was a kid I was always lousy. So I made my own bleach concoction to put in my hair to kill bugs. Also changed my hair color. Life as a homeless kid….

Tbh, I've never been interested in bleaching/dying my hair, so, I've always assumed that people put household bleach in their hair.... Good thing I never tried it! 😳😅

I get terrified when bleach barely is on my skin for a split second, let alone detergent. I always wash my hands after touching anything in the laundry room 😭

That stuff scares me.. can't believe how regularly it is used for household cleaning. Like people wash everything with that stuff. At least from what I see of Americans, it is not common practice where I live in Europe. Isn't it dangerous and way overkill? You don't have to use that kind of stuff to kill germs..

Omg. Omg. My friend works at a fraternity in Oxford and another fraternity gave a really drunk guy they were hazing bleach to drink. They didn't take him to the hospital until the next day. He did survive, but now I have a much better understanding of why he's not gonna have a normal life any more.
I'm in shock. I can't believe that was only a minute.
