Came home and found my husband in bed with another woman. The "light bulb" went off in my head. I told him it was okay. I suddenly realized I no longer loved him. I had already been planning on leaving him but I was pregnant and afraid. When I saw that woman in the bed it gave me the courage to start packing and walk out. He expected me to yell and cry. When I did not he started to cry. He said he was deeply sorry he had hurt me so badly. I felt nothing for him. I responded "I'm glad you found someone because I am done". I moved to another state and started a whole new life. A few years later I met someone who treated me like a queen. My second husband and I remained married and in love for 30 years until he died of cancer. Trust God - not mankind.

This happened to me once and I said the same thing. I had prayed about it asking for peace of mind. I had my suspicions and then he reluctantly confirmed them. I had not cheated and I had nobody waiting. Even though I was heartbroken, I walked away. He was more afraid of me in my calm state then I think he would've been had I lashed out. I had never thought about getting back at him. I just prayed and asked God to take care of it. There are some women who aren't petty.

Some men are so arrogant... Why do women always have to wreck house afterwards or have a dude on the side for some men to believe we can be calm and accepting in a situation? How about... and this is crazy, I know... we truly are emotionally done with you after we learn you cheated on us?

I left my ex (who didn't even cheat on me) and the first thing he asked was "is it because of someone else??"
Nevermind all the blow-ups we had had over the years, nevermind that particular argument where he laughed at me crying, nevermind his total lack of support for me eating just a LITTLE bit healthier, or exercising, or studying for my degree, or saving money, or having friends. Nevermind me having to act as his chauffeur while I'm also going to work and school, because he finally got a job like I demanded but refused to get a car until I threatened to kick him out. The only thing HE thought when I finally asked for a divorce was that I got someone else.

There was no one else waiting to take his place. I was simply that tired of his shenanigans.
