Got my paws on the A7II. Give me a some time as I'm going to pit this thing up against my EM5 and 5D3 in terms of handling, image quality, video quality, and everything in between.

Fun video. Love your enthusiasm. I'm still considering this camera, though I wonder if they will drop the price on the A7s when the A7s mk2 comes out. I love how Sony's really offer great stills and video. I still have my old NEX-5N for video as my Fuji's still haven't got there on the video side (they are absolutely amazing for stills though). I wish Sony would get their apps in order. The Playmemories thing was awful on my NEX-6, causing me to sell it. I comparison the wifi app for my X-T1 works perfectly.

I have a Sony A7 too and the box of the Sony had a security seal. This box didn't have. I wonder if it is an opened before from another customer and returned to B&H.

Can you please check the peaking accuracy? Is it reliable? Also, If you have any adapter around, I would really appreciate it if you could mount a tele L lens (135mm maybe) on it and check the IBIS efficacy at a long focal length.

Hi Tim! Just one question: why did you pick 35mm f2.8 as first lens? Having the OM-D with the 25mm, wouldn't be more obvious for you choosing the 55mm f1.8 for the A7 II? I'm asking because I'm about to pick the camera but I'm still not sure about the lenses. In a couple of months I already know I'll need the 24-70 for a specific event, but as a starter I'm very doubtful: what to buy? Maybe you can give me some insight... Thanks!

what do u think about the FE 35mm lens for manual focus on video? is it smooth and easy like canon\samyang\sigma\nikon glass?

That is one really loud shutter. Also the paint on the new 2nd generation a7 bodies rub off very easily.

The Sony A7II is a great camera. Although the camera is small, where are the lenses? Unless the laws of physics change then how will you ever get a small f2.8 zoom? It may have the full frame capability but for now my EM1 in my books still wins in terms of compactness and great image quality. No point in a small full frame body if the lenses are going to be huge.
