I’ve been looking at very low mileage (<15K miles) used Civic Si sedan prices. Their depreciation is so low it’s nearly non existent. In many cases dealers are offering those cars for less than 1000 dollars from when they were new, and I’m talking 2017, 2018 and 2019s. It’s just crazy. Makes so much more sense in these cases to go new.

Can definitely vouch for a Honda Civic Hatchback, I bought a 2020 and compared to a 2019 it wasn't a big difference at all.

What’s your opinion on Public auto auctions? I’m finding deals that seem too good to be true but considering our economic crisis right now I’m thinking it’s plausible. I found a 2016 Elantra with 60k miles on it with a clean title that’s going for $4k. I don’t know much about public auto auctions, that’s why I’m asking otherwise I’d jump on this deal.

Interesting topic Dave, while the difference in price for these vehicles from new to one year old is less than average, personally I prefer to buy used. Also, since most people no longer buy a new car every year this interesting comparison has limited value in the real world today.
