Another reason why repairs should be easier on all phones. If they can achieve ip68 with an easily removable screen AND removable back cover+battery there's no reason they shouldn't do this to normal phones, except aesthetics probably

Fun fact: galaxy S5 is the first one from Samsung to have IP rating back in 2014 and it was also with removable back cover.

I used it for work and the screen response isn’t great. Happy to learn about the durability specs!! Especially the water resistance with a removable battery!

That proved a point guys, phone with replaceable with removeable back plate and IP68 rating is doable, it just that brands refuse to do so

It’s water proof because of the ridges covering the battery and the slots . If you look carefully, there should be a ridge from where the seal and the back cover where it goes around the battery. I had a rugby LTE and i tested it and it still has not cracked nor died from water damage

MIL-STD is kinda like a more thorough IP rating though. Just guarantees more things like performance under temperatures and submersion depth. 810G is very standard, mind you still not a bad thing at all but still not exactly deep sea diving or anything like that
